Milo the mouse was very, very small. He looked up at the big, big mountain. "Oh," he sighed. "I wish I could climb to the top!"
A wise old owl, Professor Hoot, landed nearby. "Why the long face, little Milo?" he asked kindly.
"I am too small for that giant mountain," Milo squeaked. "It's just too big!"
Professor Hoot smiled. "Every journey starts with one tiny step, Milo. Try one step. Then another."
Milo looked at his little paws. He took one tiny step towards the mountain. Then another. And another! He didn't reach the very top, but he climbed over a big rock. He found a sweet berry bush. He felt happy.
Milo learned that day: Even the smallest friend can start a big adventure.
